Study for international students (Bachelor, Master and Philosophy Doctor educational levels)
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
To become a student of our University you need to go through several stages in the following succession:
1. Get the invitation for study.
1.1 To receive an invitation for study at Kryvyi Rih National University, you need to inform us about your desire to study in the most convenient way for you:

· Come to Office of International Relation – Vitalii Matusevych str. 11, Central building, room 331.
1.2 Send us the following documents which are necessary for preparing the invitation;
Consent to personal data collecting and processing (link)
Copy of the passport (full name, citizenship, date of birth, passport number address of permanent residence) or another document, which proves a foreign citizen’s identity in English;
Send a scanned copy of a ledgalized documents about the previous education (appendix to educational qualifications), which provide information about a candidate’s progress in academic subjects.
1.3 To get the original of the invitation for study, which is required for:
· opening a long-stay visa (for citizens of countries with visa-required entry to Ukraine).
How to get an entry visa?
To obtain an entry visa for the purpose of studying in Ukraine, an applicant applies to the Embassy of Ukraine in his/her home country or in a neighboring country with an application for an entry visa, attaching to the application an invitation to study at Kryvyi Rih National University.
After obtaining a student visa (D-13) an applicant inform the International Relations Department by e-mail (interdep@knu.edu.ua; kostiuk@knu.edu.ua) or by phone (+38(0564) 09 17 07) about the date of arrival in Ukraine, place of arrival.
Admission of foreigners and stateless persons to higher education institutions
Admission to higher education institutions for foreigners and stateless persons is carried out in accordance with the laws of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, «On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons», «On Ukrainians Abroad», “On Refugees and Persons in Need of Additional or Temporary Protection» etc.

2. Arrival in Ukraine for study in due time.
The academic year in Ukraine starts on September, 1.
Admission of foreign citizens is conducted, as a rule, till 30th November (except for the admission to the Preparatory Department. Transfer and renewing to studies of the students who were dismissed from higher educational establishments, is conducted as a rule during summer or winter vacations.
The next day after arrival to Kryvyi Rih, you need to submit personally to the International Relations Department (Central building, room 331) the following documents:
· application for the enrollment addressed to the Rector of the University;
· original and copy of the document about the previous obtained educational level (educational-qualification level) certified in the country of issue in the manner officially used in this country for such certification, legalized by the relevant foreign institution of Ukraine;
· notarized copy of the diploma and diploma supplement about the previous obtained educational level (educational-qualification level);
· copy of the foreigner’s passport or the document which proves the identity of the person without citizenship with a translation into Ukrainian approved by a notary;
· voluntary health insurance contract (policy);
· a liability insurance contract for reimbursement of expenses related to the execution of the decision on administrative expulsion from the country;
· 8 matte, colour photos in size 30x40mm.
Foreigners, who enter post-graduate studies shall additionally to the above-mentioned documents submit the research plan on the chosen scientific specialty OR the list of the published scientific works and inventions in Ukrainian or English languages, this list must be notarized according to the established procedure by the establishment where the applicant studied or worked.
Foreigners, who enter doctoral studies shall additionally submit comprehensive plan of dissertation thesis for obtaining the scientific degree (of a doctor of philosophy) AND a copy of the diploma on awarding the corresponding scientific degree (of a doctor of philosophy).
All documents about the complete secondary education of foreign citizens must obligatory undergo the Procedure of recognition of documents confirming previous education in Ukraine according to the actual legislation.
How to apply for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine?
Citizens of visa-free countries may stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days. Such foreigners are obliged to submit their passports and documents required for obtaining a residence permit to the Foreign Citizens Service Department no later than 30 days before the expiry of the established stay period in Ukraine.

Citizens of states with a visa entry procedure arrive in Ukraine with a D-13 visa, obtained at the consular office of Ukraine abroad at the invitation of the University to study. Within five working days after arriving at the University, but no later than 30 days before the visa expiration, they are obliged to provide the International Relations Department with a passport and documents necessary for obtaining a temporary residence permit in Ukraine.
In order to prepare a complete package of documents for obtaining a residence permit, a foreigner or stateless person who has arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of studying shall submit to the International Relations Department the following documents:
· Passport with a D-13visa;
· A notarised translation of the passport into Ukrainian;
· Insurance policy for foreigners for the period of validity of the residence permit, which complies with the Methodological Recommendations on Comprehensive Insurance of Foreigners and Stateless Persons obtaining Education in Higher and Vocational Pre-Higher Educational Institutions of Ukraine, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of 24 May 2021 No. 562.
Foreigners who have arrived in Ukraine for the purpose of studying and have received a residence permit are considered to be legally staying in Ukraine for the period of study.
Documents for obtaining a residence permit and its exchange are submitted by a foreigner or a stateless person in person to the Main Department of the State Migration Service in Dnipro.
The documents for obtaining a residence permit are submitted to the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine no later than 15 working days before the expiry of the established period of stay in Ukraine.
In case of expiry of the residence permit, documents for its exchange may be submitted to the Main Department of the State Migration Service of Ukraine no later than 15 working days before the date of its expiry.
After obtaining the residence permit, the foreigner is obliged to submit it to the International Relations Department within three working days for registration of the place of residence in Ukraine.
In case a foreign student violates the procedure for issuing (issuing, exchanging) a residence permit and/or terminates the grounds for further legal stay in Ukraine, such a foreigner is expelled from the student (trainee) body for violating the migration legislation of Ukraine.
Enrolment of foreign students
Enrolment of foreigners to study at the appropriate level of higher education is based on the results of entrance examinations for foreigners in certain subjects and language of study and on the basis of academic rights to continue studying, provided by the document on the level of education in the country of origin, and taking into account the score of academic achievements that give the right to continue studying at the next level of higher education in accordance with the legislation of the country that issued the document on the degree (level) of education.
Documents on the degree (level) of education obtained abroad by foreigners are subject to a mandatory procedure for recognising and establishing the equivalence of the Document, in accordance with the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 05 May 2015 No. 504 “Some issues of recognition in Ukraine of foreign documents on education”, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine on 27 May 2015 No. 614/27059 during the first semester of study.

After enrolment, foreigners should:
· Sign an agreement on the provision of educational services (training);
· Pay tuition fees (link)
· Pay for accommodation in the dormitory;
· Apply for a temporary residence permit in Ukraine or extend the validity of the permit;
· Obtain a medical insurance policy;
· Obtain a liability insurance contract for reimbursement of expenses related to the execution of the decision on administrative expulsion from the country;
· Carry out the procedure for nostrification of educational documents at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine during the first semester of study.
